Pattinson, Hoult in running to be Bond

The question of who will be the next James Bond after Daniel Craig’s departure may be answered this month.

It is said that five British stars recently gave their final auditions for the role of the new James Bond or ‘007’.

A report by Deadline has confirmed that Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult have been added to the list at the last minute, along with Callum Turner, Josh O’Connor and Jack Lowden. The process of finding a new Bond for the 26th James Bond film began in March.

The search began after casting director Nina Gold joined the project. After first round of auditions in August, producers Amy Pascal, David Heyman and director Denis Villeneuve narrowed down the list of potential actors in September.

Although the final auditions were supposed to take place in early October, they were delayed to the end of the month due to scheduling complications.

The makers are cautious about choosing someone new to play the role after Daniel Craig’s 15-year tenure as Bond. Both Pattinson and Hoult, who are on the shortlist, have experience working in big franchises.
