Azad congrats Faisal Ahmed on his appt. as Chairman

A.K. Azad, former General Secretary of the Canada BNP, has congratulated Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury on his appointment as Chairman of the interim management committee of the Bangladesh Cooperative Bank Limited.

Chowdhury, a prominent voice in North America over the past 17 years particularly in the movement against the autocratic regime of Sheikh Hasina is a founding member of the Canada BNP and currently serves on the party’s National Executive Committee.

In a brief message, Azad noted that he has worked alongside Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury for a long time.

He recalled that, under Chowdhury’s leadership, they had submitted letters to the Canadian Parliament and various government ministers, demanding the unconditional release of former three-time Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
