BUFT expo connects students with industry leaders

The BUFT National Entrepreneurship Expo 2026 opened at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) on October 7, bringing students and industry leaders together to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and artificial intelligence-driven business solutions.

Organised by the BUFT Business Club in association with the university’s Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), the two-day event was held on October 7-8 under the theme “Empowering the Next Generation with AI: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Sustainable Digital Transformation”.

The expo aimed to equip students with entrepreneurial skills and encourage them to use artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to develop innovative and sustainable business ventures.

Among the distinguished guests were BUFT Board of Trustees Chairman Md Mesbha Uddin Ali; Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan; Professor Dr Mohamed Kaisarul Haq, member of the Board of Governors of Spectrum International University College, Malaysia, and director of PRAN-RFL Group; and Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Treasurer Professor Dr Md Alamgir Hossain.

Other attendees included BUFT Registrar Md Rafiquzzaman; FBS Dean Professor Dr Sheikh Abdur Rahim; BUFT Director of PRD Mohammad Imtiaj; Daraz Express Head H M Ashik Alahi; Rajib Engineering Limited Managing Director Md Rajib Hossain; Evercare Hospitals Bangladesh Chief Financial Officer Mohammad Mainur Rahman Bhuiyan; Dabur Bangladesh Private Limited Head of Supply Chain and Procurement Nahid Ashiquzzaman; and content creator and actor Rakin Absar.

BUFT deans and department heads also attended the opening ceremony and various sessions.
The expo provided students with opportunities to connect with industry professionals, explore business ideas and gain practical insights into entrepreneurship and innovation.

It also highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence in the future of work and business, while encouraging students to strengthen their creativity, entrepreneurial capabilities and readiness for a digitally driven economy.
