6 dengue patients die

Six people died of dengue and 1,608 were hospitalised with the disease across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday.

With the latest deaths, the country’s dengue death toll has reached 256 this year, while 84,369 patients have been hospitalised since January.

Of the six deaths, two were from Dhaka South City Corporation, two from Rajshahi Division, and one each from Barishal and Khulna divisions.

Among the deceased, five were men and one was a woman.
