Lindsay Lohan teams up with ‘Mean Girls’ director for new Netflix film
Lindsay Lohan is set to return to the romantic comedy genre with Netflix’s upcoming film ‘Return to You’, which will reunite her with director Mark Waters, who helmed two of her most popular films, ‘Freaky Friday’ and ‘Mean Girls’.
Lohan and Henry Golding will star in the romantic feature, with Lohan also serving as a producer.
The film will be directed by Waters from a screenplay by Eric Champnella.
Set in 2008, ‘Return to You’ follows Lohan’s character, a successful but lonely attorney who mistakenly receives a heartfelt DVD intended for the husband of a dying woman.
Using clues from the recording, she sets out to find the man it was meant for.
Lohan and Brad Krevoy are producing the film, while Olivia Krevoy, Jimmy Townsend and Galen Fletcher are attached as executive producers.
