32 dengue patients hospitalised in 24 hours

The dengue situation in Kishoreganj has deteriorated, with 32 new dengue patients hospitalised in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 28 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

The information was revealed in the latest dengue report released by the Kishoreganj Civil Surgeon’s Office on Monday.

According to the report, a total of 795 dengue cases have been recorded in the district from January to September 7 this year. Of them, 706 patients have returned home after receiving treatment. So far, no deaths from dengue have been reported in the district. Currently, 89 dengue patients are admitted to and receiving treatment at various government hospitals and medical colleges in the district.

Of the admitted patients, 24 are receiving treatment at Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital, 23 at Bhairab Upazila Health Complex, 12 at the 250-bed General Hospital in Kishoreganj Sadar, eight at Bajitpur Upazila Health Complex.

seven at Tarail Upazila Health Complex, five at Karimganj Upazila Health Complex, three at Pakundia Upazila Health Complex, two each at Nikli Upazila Health Complex, Hossainpur Upazila Health Complex and President Abdul Hamid Medical College, and one at Kuliarchar Upazila Health Complex.
The Health Department has advised people to remain vigilant and keep the surroundings of their homes clean to prevent the spread of dengue.
