Register 19.3pc Y-on-Y growth
Bangladesh received $6.462 billion in remittances from July 2026 to September 6, 2026, compared with $5.416 billion during the same period a year earlier, registering 19.3 percent year-on-year growth.
The received US$637 million in workers’ remittances during the first six days of September 2026, marking a 23.4 percent increase compared with $516 million received during the corresponding period of September 2025, According to the latest remittance data by the central Bank.
The country received $201 million on September 6 alone.
Earlier in August, Bangladeshi expatriates sent home $2.97 billion in August, up 10.82 per cent from $2.68 billion in the same month last year.In July the amount was $2.86 billion.
The latest figures indicate that remittance inflows have continued their strong momentum in the current fiscal year, providing support to the country’s foreign-exchange reserves and external-sector stability.
