Ansar chief meets civil aviation minister

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud on Monday met Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat and discussed airport security and preparations for the deployment of Ansar members at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport’s newly built third terminal.

The courtesy meeting was held at the Secretariat, where the Ansar-VDP chief congratulated the minister on assuming full ministerial responsibility on August 21. During the meeting, the minister praised the professionalism and reputation of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force members in maintaining security at the country’s airports.

He urged Ansar members to continue their dedicated role in ensuring overall discipline at the country’s airports, widely regarded as gateways to Bangladesh, as well as protecting passengers and state property. Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud briefed the minister on the necessary preparatory measures being taken to coordinate the deployment of Ansar members for security at the newly constructed third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides expressing their commitment to continued cooperation between the ministry and the force for the welfare of the country and its people.
They also pledged to work together with a “Bangladesh First” spirit to ensure national security while contributing to the sustainable development of the country’s tourism sector.
