A R Rahman’s son Amin killed in road accident in Chennai

Amin Rahman, son of world-renowned composer A R Rahman and an aspiring singer, was involved in a road accident in Chennai, India.

The accident occurred near the Kathipara flyover in Guindy, Chennai, in the early hours of Monday.

It is reported that his luxury Porsche collided with a cab, narrowly escaping serious damage.

Amin and a friend were heading towards Chennai city from Koyambedu around 3:30am.

A Wagon-R cab came out of an alley near Olympia Tech Park signal and collided head-on with Amin’s Porsche.

After the collision, Amin and the cab driver were taken to local Kaveri Hospital.

Amin Rahman, the son of AR Rahman and Saira Banu, has also chosen the path of music like his father.

He made his debut in 2015 with the song ‘Mawla Salli Wasallim’ from the famous director Mani Ratnam’s film
‘O Kadal Kanmani’.

Since then, he has sung with his father on the world stage
in many concerts.
