American pop star Katy Perry has expressed her anger over the use of her popular song ‘Firework’ without permission in a video promoting the US military strike on Iran.

The video sparked intense debate around the world shortly after it was released on Donald Trump’s White House’s official social media platform.

Recently, the official White House TikTok account uploaded a video of a military strike on Iran.

The video, captioned ‘Iran on alert,’ was accompanied by Katy Perry’s world-famous song ‘Fireworks’ playing in the background.

The 41-year-old pop star took to social media to vent her anger.

She wrote, “I am extremely shocked and outraged! I was not asked for permission to do this, nor was I even asked.

Using a song that was written to inspire and build confidence in people as a weapon to promote destruction and violence is a gross violation of the core values of my song.”
