Religious Affairs Minister hospitalised in S’pore
Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Vice-Chairman of the BNP, has been admitted to Singapore General Hospital due to illness.
He was admitted there on Thursday (July 23). Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP’s media cell, confirmed the matter to the media.
Shayrul Kabir Khan stated that Kaykobad is scheduled to undergo hip replacement surgery at Singapore General Hospital around 12:00 PM (Bangladesh time) on Friday (July 24). The surgery will be performed under the supervision of Dr. Darren Tay Keng Jin, Khan added.
Kaykobad, a six-time Member of Parliament from Muradnagar, Cumilla, has long been suffering from various health complications. Before undergoing surgery, the Religious Affairs Minister sought prayers for his speedy recovery from party members and the people of the country.
Meanwhile, Hefazat-e-Islam Amir Muhibullah Babunagari has also appealed to the nation to pray for his quick recovery.
