BD Cricket team to play one-off Test series against England at Lord’s

Bangladesh Cricket team last visited England in 2010 to play a bilateral series. A decade had passed since then, but the Tigers did not get chance to play against England there. But this time, the wait is over. Bangladesh will tour England next year.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) released the international schedule for 2027 on Thursday (July 23). According to the schedule, the Bangladesh Cricket team will play a Test match against England. This only Test will be held at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London from May 28 to June 1, 2027.

In addition, the Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team will also tour England at the same time. The Women’s Cricket team will play a three-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series on the tour of England.

After announcing the schedule, ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gould said, “We are delighted to welcome the Bangladesh Cricket team to Lord’s for a Test match and the Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team to play a white-ball series. England will face Bangladesh in a Test match on home soil for the first time since 2010.”

Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team will take on England Women’s Cricket team in first T20I on September 8 at Northampton , the Tigresses will face England Women’s Cricket in the second T20I on September 10 in Taunton, Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team will meet in the third T20I on September 12 at Worcester.

The Tigresses will play the first ODI against England on September 17 at Hove, Bangladesh will face England in the second ODI on September 21 at Canterbury, Bangladesh will meet England in the third ODI on September 25 at Chelmsford.
