Ahsanur new MD of Dhaka Bank Securities Limited

Ahsanur Rahman has joined Dhaka Bank Securities Limited as its Managing Director, bringing with him more than 18 years of extensive experience in Bangladesh’s capital market with a strong track record in strategic leadership, institutional business, investment services and digital transformation.

Prior to joining Dhaka Bank Securities Limited, Rahman served as Chief Operating Officer of UCB Stock Brokerage Limited.

He previously served as CEO of BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited for nearly six years where he led business growth, operational transformation, risk management and digital initiatives.

During his tenure at BRAC EPL, he played a key role in strengthening the company’s market position.
He also led the expansion of its branch network and introduced technology-driven initiatives, including an Order Management System (OMS) and integration with BRAC Bank’s Astha platform and bKash.

Earlier, Rahman led foreign and local institutional sales and trading operations, managing relationships with global funds, international brokers and domestic asset managers.

He also played a role in major investor engagement initiatives and global roadshows in London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Rahman holds a BBAin Finance from East West University and has undertaken professional programs in portfolio management, financial analysis, leadership and Islamic finance. Under his leadership BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited was awarded Independence Golden Jubilee Award 2023 by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) in the Broker-Dealer category.

With his extensive capital market experience and strong track record in strategic and technology-led transformation, Ahsanur Rahman is expected to contribute significantly to the continued growth, innovation and development of Dhaka Bank Securities Limited.
