14 police officers transferred

Fourteen officers of the ranks of DIG, Additional DIG, and Superintendent of Police have been transferred, who were posted through separate notifications signed by Home Ministry Deputy Secretary Toufiq Ahmed on Tuesday.

Among them are four DIGs, four Additional DIGs, and six officers at the rank of Superintendent of Police. Postings also included the Chittagong Range and SMP Commissioner positions.

According to the notification, Additional DIG Nasian Wazed of the Police Staff College has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rangpur Range; Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman of the Rajshahi In-Service Training Center has been attached to the office of the DIG of Khulna Range; Superintendent of Police Md. Apel Mahmud of Tourist Police has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rajshahi Range; and Superintendent of Police A F M Nizam Uddin of the Dhaka Police Directorate has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rangpur Range.

Additionally, Superintendent of Police Mir Abu Tawhid of CID has been attached to the office of the DIG of Chittagong Range, and Special Superintendent of Police Tahsin Masruf Hossain Mashfi of Dhaka SB has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rangpur Range.

In another notification, Superintendent of Police Sharif Uddin Ahmed of the Dhaka Anti-Terrorism Unit has been transferred to RAB; Additional DIG Md. Kafil Uddin, currently serving in Industrial Police, has been transferred to the Dhaka Police Directorate; Superintendent of Police Md. Sufi Ullah of Pabna has been transferred to the post of Special Superintendent of Police at CID; and Superintendent of Police Abu Ashraf of the Dhaka Anti-Terrorism Unit has been transferred as Superintendent of Police of Pabna.

According to another notification, DIG of Mymensingh Range Md. Ataul Kibria has been transferred to CID; Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Hasan has been posted as DIG of Mymensingh Range; Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abdul Quddus Chowdhury has been posted as DIG of Chittagong Range; and DIG of the Dhaka Police Directorate Sarwar Murshed Shamim has been posted as Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police.

At the same time, the previously issued transfer order of Mia Masud Karim has been cancelled. Instructions have been given for these orders, issued in the public interest, to be implemented immediately.
