BFSA orders withdrawal food products from market

The Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) has directed the withdrawal of food products from the market-produced by the following three companies-due to the use of excessive preservatives that are harmful to human health.

The food products and companies are as follows:
1. The food product named ‘East Cake Pur Pitha Jam Filled (Intact)’ from East Cake International Food Ltd.;

2. The food product named ‘East Baker Slice Bread Milk Jam Filled (Intact)’ from East Jibai International Ltd.; and

3. The food product named ‘Arboting Food Slice Bread Mixed Jam Filled (Intact)’ from Arboting Food Co. Ltd.

The Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) has directed the three aforementioned entities to withdraw the concerned food products from the market and halt their marketing.

In light of this, the public is advised to refrain from purchasing or consuming the mentioned food products.
