Madrasahs directed to hold commemorative events

The Madrasah Education Board has directed all board-affiliated madrasah institutions across Bangladesh to organise commemorative meetings and special prayers on July 16 to observe July Martyrs’ Day-26.

The directive was issued through a notification on Monday following a decision taken by the Technical and Madrasah Education Division of the Education Ministry on July 12, based on the recommendations of an inter-ministerial meeting on the observance of the day.

Under the instruction, all Dakhil, Alim, Fazil and Kamil level madrasahs have been asked to hold special commemorative meetings at a convenient time on July 16 in memory of the July martyrs.

The institutions have also been instructed to arrange special prayers and munajat, seeking forgiveness and eternal peace for the souls of the martyrs.
