Veterinary Uni to provide relief assistance

Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) will provide relief assistance to upazilas severely affected by flooding triggered by heavy rainfall and landslides.

The university said both residents and livestock in the affected areas are facing severe hardship, with shortages of food, safe drinking water, and sanitation facilities.

To support the affected communities, the university has decided to distribute cooked food, dry food, medicines, drinking water, livestock feed, and veterinary medicines in the worst-hit upazilas. The relief programme will continue for nearly a week.

As part of the initiative, cooked food packets, drinking water, medicines, and food and medicine for livestock will be distributed in different areas of Banshkhali upazila.
