3 sustain burn injuries in Keraniganj gas pipe blast

Three people suffered burn injuries in a conspicuous gas pipeline blast in Boroitala area of Keraniganj district on Friday.

The victims were identified as Rakib, 14, Rajon, 25 and Sumon, 27.

Witnesses said that the explosion took place on Friday night at the house of one Arif Mia in the area when they were working to mend the gas pipeline, leaving them injured.

Subsequently, they were taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 5:30 am, said Shaon Bin Rahman, Resident Medical Officer of the institute.

Among the victims, Rakib received 17 percent burn injuries.
