Deshi Delights Ltd has hosted the Deshi Delights Global Showcase Evening in Dhaka, presenting its international business-to-consumer marketplace designed to connect Bangladeshi brands, small and medium enterprises, artisans and producers with overseas consumers.

The event was held at La Vita Hall, Lakeshore Grand, Gulshan-2, under the theme “Bangladesh to the World”.

Afroza Khanam Rita, Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism and Member of Parliament, attended the event as chief guest.

Sarfraz Ali, Founder and Director of Deshi Delights Ltd; Kabir Ahmed, Chairman of Conveyor Group; Jason Barrett, Director of Deshi Delights and ISE Logistics; and Ahmed Zakee, Director of Business Development at Deshi Delights, also spoke at the event.

The evening opened with a traditional Bangladeshi folk performance by Baul Gorib Mukhtar, highlighting Bangladesh’s culture, creativity, enterprise and global commercial potential.

Deshi Delights was presented as a Bangladesh-built international on boarding and digital marketplace platform that aims to connect Bangladeshi brands, small and medium enterprises, artisans, producers and products directly with overseas consumers.

The platform is designed to support Bangladeshi businesses with brand on boarding, product presentation, digital commerce, logistics coordination, international fulfillment, marketing and customer delivery.

Organisers said the platform places Bangladeshi brands at the centre, with logistics support in Bangladesh delivered through local logistics capability.

Speaking at the event, Sarfraz Ali said, “Deshi Delights has been created to take Bangladeshi brands to global doorsteps. Bangladesh has exceptional products, creativity and entrepreneurial talent.

Our aim is to give brands, SMEs, artisans and producers a trusted pathway to reach overseas consumers with confidence.”

Deshi Delights will begin with the United Kingdom as its first international market, with plans to expand to the Maldives, Sri Lanka, the European Union, the United States and other destinations.

The evening concluded with a symbolic launch moment, media engagement, brand partner networking and dinner, reinforcing the company’s ambition to take Bangladeshi products, brands and stories to global markets.
