SUJA officially launched in Sylhet

The Sylhet United Journalists Association (SUJA) has been officially launched with the aim of enhancing the professional skills of journalists, protecting their rights and conducting welfare activities.

On this occasion, a meeting held at an elite restaurant in Sylhet city on Monday was presided over by Daily Probhatbela Editor Kabir Ahmed Sohel.

The meeting, moderated by Chief Reporter of Daily Sylhet Bani Kawsar Ahmed, was addressed by Sylhet Bureau Chief of Daily Inqilab Faisal Amin, Bureau Chief of Daily Sangram Kabir Ahmed, Sylhet Bureau Chief of The New Nation Shofik Ahmed Shofiee, Sylhet Staff Reporter of Daily Naya Diganta MJH Jamil, Sylhet Bureau Chief of Daily Pratidin Bangladesh Ahmed Maruf.

After discussing the goals, objectives and future work plans of the organization in the meeting, the members present unanimously formed a 9-member convening committee with Kabir Ahmed Sohel as the convener and Faisal Amin as the member secretary.

The members of the committee are, Kabir Ahmed, Shofik Ahmed Shofiee, MJ H Jamil, Kawsar Ahmed, Munshi Iqbal, Sintu Ranjan Chanda, Shahed Ahmed.
