MTB signs cash management deal with Jiban Bima

Mutual Trust Bank PLC and Jiban Bima Corporation have signed an agreement on cash management services to facilitate nationwide collection of insurance premiums.

The agreement was signed recently at Six Seasons Hotel in Gulshan-2, Dhaka.

Under the agreement, Jiban Bima Corporation will use Mutual Trust Bank PLC’s integrated application programming interface-driven cash management services for collecting insurance premiums across the country.

The agreement also includes Mutual Trust Bank PLC’s digital payment solution, MTB eBank, for managing payments and online collections through direct debit instruction. Transaction approvals can be completed through biometric authentication using the MTB eBank App, the bank said.

The agreement was signed by Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mutual Trust Bank PLC, and Md Sayed Kutub, Managing Director (Additional Secretary) of Jiban Bima Corporation, according to press release.

The signing ceremony was attended by Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer of Mutual Trust Bank PLC; Mohammad Mamun Faruk, Deputy Managing Director, Wholesale Banking Division; Md Shafquat Hossain, Deputy Managing Director, Retail Banking Division; AKM Tareq, Deputy Managing Director, Branch Banking Division; and Md Ashik Iqbal Khan, Divisional Head of Cash Management and Transaction Banking.

From Jiban Bima Corporation, Mohammad Abu Kawsar Jalil, General Manager of Finance and Accounts Division; Abu Naim Mohammad Maruf Khan, General Manager of Information and Communication Technology and Administration Division; HM Rokib Hayder, General Manager of EE Division; and other senior officials from both organisations attended the ceremony.
