AB Bank supports inauguration of Bangladesh Bank’s ‘Bangla QR’ Usage

AB Bank PLC has recently supported the inauguration of ‘Bangla QR’ usage at Bangladesh Bank’s Sylhet office on Wednesday.

The inauguration program was arranged by Bangladesh Bank Karmachari Vogyanno Sorboraho and Sanchay o Rindan Somobay Samiti Limited (SIKO), with the support of AB Bank, to promote cashless transactions and facilitate the implementation of mandatory digital payments for various government services through ‘Bangla QR’, according to a press release.

Dharani Kanta Das, President, SIKO, presided over the program while Khaled Ahmed, Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank, was attending the program as the chief guest.

Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan, Director, Sylhet Office, Bangladesh Bank, Abdus Salam Mahmud, Director, Sylhet Office, Bangladesh Bank, and Ahmed Monnun Panna, Regional Head, Sylhet, AB Bank, were present as special guests at the program.

The chief guest officially inaugurated the initiative by using the QR provided by AB Bank.
Senior officials from both organisations were also present at the event.
