Janata Bank trains senior executives on IFRS-9

Janata Bank PLC has organised a special training workshop on the implementation of Expected Credit Loss under International Financial Reporting Standard 9.

The workshop was held at Janata Bank Staff College in Dhaka recently, according to press release.

Janata Bank PLC Chairman Muh Fazlur Rahman CSP attended the workshop as the chief guest.

Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman chaired the programme.

Deputy managing directors, general managers and all deputy general managers of the bank took part in the day-long workshop.

A total of 50 senior executives attended the workshop in person, while more than 100 executives joined online.

The workshop was aimed at strengthening the bank’s preparedness for implementing Expected Credit Loss under International Financial Reporting Standard 9 and enhancing understanding of the relevant reporting requirements among senior officials.
