I’m grateful that ‘Loke Boley’ touched people’s hearts

Nusraat Faria is an actress and singer. Her song ‘Loke Boley’, released during Eid-ul-Adha, has gained significant popularity among audiences.

The song, produced in the style of a cinematic item number, has received widespread appreciation. She spoke about her music, acting career, and other aspects of her life.

‘Loke Boley’ has been generating a lot of discussion. How are you enjoying this moment?
Honestly, the love I am receiving from people is making me incredibly happy.

Many have said that the song added a special dimension to Eid entertainment, which is undoubtedly a great achievement. Fortunately, Loke Boley has been able to touch people’s emotions, and for an artist, that is an extraordinary accomplishment.

Has the song met the expectations you had for it?
To a large extent, yes. I released the song before Eid. A few days after Eid, the Football World Cup began. I was a bit concerned about whether the song would be able to attract attention during the excitement surrounding the World Cup, as people’s focus would naturally be on football.

However, I witnessed the opposite. Every day, new videos, reels, and content are being created around the song. Across various platforms, millions of people have engaged with it. What greater joy could there be for an artist?

Was releasing the song with a cinematic-scale production simply a matter of passion?
You could say it was passion, commitment, and the desire to create something good. I always put my maximum effort into whatever I do and strive to give my best. Since this song is my own project, I had the freedom to shape it the way I wanted. I have always believed that whenever I return, I should return with something worthwhile.

You have only spoken about music. Is there any news regarding films?
People know me primarily as an actress, so of course there will be news about films. Two of my films are awaiting release. One is a Kolkata production and the other is from Bangladesh.

The Kolkata film is titled ‘Rockstar’, directed by Ayushman Pratyush, in which I will be seen opposite Yash Dasgupta. The Bangladeshi film is titled ‘Thikana 71’, directed by Anom Biswas, where I star alongside Arifin Shuvoo.

I cannot say exactly when these films will be released; that is something the directors and production companies can confirm. In addition, discussions are ongoing regarding several new projects. Once everything is finalized officially, everyone will know.

Last year, you had to go through a very difficult phase in your personal life. How much relief do you feel now?

Alhamdulillah, I am doing well now. I am generally conscious about my health and try to take care of both my physical and mental well-being, even amidst a busy work schedule.

What have you learned from that difficult chapter of your life?
Every experience in life teaches us something. I will not deny that it was not an easy time. Had I allowed the weight of those experiences to make me withdraw from everything, the people who would have suffered the most were my well-wishers. They have always stood by me and supported me.

I am trying to honor and repay that love through my work.
