Moulvibazar gets new SP

Md Monirul Islam has joined as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Moulvibazar district.
He assumed office on Saturday, June 13. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed with floral greetings by members of the Moulvibazar District Police. A smartly turned-out police contingent later accorded him a guard of honour.

After receiving the guard of honour, the new SP was greeted by senior district police officials, officers-in-charge of various police stations and units, and other personnel.

He subsequently met with officers and employees of the district police and exchanged views with them.
Md Monirul Islam is an officer of the 28th BCS (Police) cadre. During the meeting, he became acquainted with senior officers, officers-in-charge of police stations and units, and other members of the force. He urged all personnel to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and professionalism.

It may be recalled that Md. Riazul Islam joined as the Superintendent of Police of Moulvibazar on May 8. However, he was withdrawn just a week later following allegations that he had secured the posting through bribery.
