



Off spinner Mahedi Hasan has been included in the Bangladesh squad for todays 3rd and final ODI against Australia at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The hosts have already secured the series having won the first and second matches by 86 runs and five-wicket respectively on DLS method, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed in a press release today.
The 31-year-old Mahedi has played 11 ODIs for Bangladesh with his last appearance being against the same opposition in November 2023 during the ICC Cricket World Cup in India.
His inclusion came after captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz was hospitalized following being hit on his head by a bouncer of Australian pacer Nathan Ellis in the second ODI.
He was released from the hospital yesterday and rejoined the team.BCB, however, confirmed that Miraz is in good health but will undergo further assessment tomorrow to determine his fitness for the third game.
