Walton releases new 5G smartphone with 50MP camera

Walton has unveiled the Xanon X22 5G, its latest addition to the Xanon series, aiming to capture market share with a competitive combination of advanced features, a 50MP main camera, and a high-capacity battery at a strategic price point.

Powered by a 6nm MediaTekDimensity 7100 5G processor, the Xanon X22 5G is positioned to deliver robust performance, according to the company.

The device offers up to 16GB rapid memory, ample storage, fast charging, and a high-capacity battery, alongside a suite of additional features.

According to Walton Mobile Chief Business Officer Abu Zahid, the Xanon X22 5G is available in two colours: Obsidian Grey and Zenith Green.

The Xanon X22 5G carries a retail price of Tk25,999, excluding VAT. The handset is available at Walton Plazas, NexG brand shops, distributor showrooms, and authorised retail outlets nationwide.

Customers can also purchase the device online via Walton’s official platforms: waltonplaza.com.bd and waltondigitech.com.

The Xanon X22 5G runs on Android 16 and incorporates LPDDR5 memory technology, with up to 16GB rapid memory and ARM Mali-G610 MC2 graphics.

These specifications, according to Walton, are intended to ensure faster app usage, high-speed internet browsing, smooth 3D gaming, and lag-free video streaming.

It is equipped with 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 512GB via microSD.
The handset features a 6.8-inch U-notch IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 630 nits peak brightness (HBM).

Walton claims the display delivers an enhanced user experience for apps, video streaming, gaming, reading, and web browsing.

The device houses a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX752 sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and an 8MP front camera, along with multiple shooting modes such as night, pro video, slow motion, and macro.

For video, the Xanon X22 5G supports 2K EIS stabilisation and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

A 6,000mAh battery powers the device, complemented by 18W Type-C fast charging.

Other features include IP64 dust and water resistance, dual-mic active noise cancellation, smart touch, Netless Chat, dynamic window, app clone, anti-theft touch mode, and hidden apps.

Walton asserts that these features collectively deliver a faster, more powerful, and seamless smartphone experience.

The Xanon X22 5G is manufactured at Walton’s own production facility.
Customers are entitled to a one-year after-sales service and a 30-day special replacement facility.
