



Chinese tech company Xiaomi has launched its new smartphone, the Xiaomi 17T, in Bangladesh, bringing advanced camera features and high-end specifications to the local market.
The phone was unveiled at an event at a city hotel in Dhaka on Thursday called “The Moment Beyond Sight”, attended by journalists, photographers and tech industry guests.
A key highlight of the Xiaomi 17T is its Leica-powered triple-camera system. It includes a 50-megapixel main camera with a Leica lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera that supports up to 5x optical zoom and up to 120x AI zoom. The phone also offers new shooting modes, including Live Moment and Stage Mode, designed to improve photo and video capture.
The device has a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and very high brightness for outdoor use. It also includes eye-comfort features certified by TÜV Rheinland to reduce strain during long use.
Inside, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor with Xiaomi’s HyperOS. It also includes AI tools such as HyperAI, Google Gemini, and Circle to Search.
The Xiaomi 17T is powered by a 6,500mAh battery, which Xiaomi says can last up to 1.5 days on a single charge. It also has water and dust resistance with an IP68 rating.
According to Xiaomi Bangladesh, the phone is aimed at users who enjoy photography, content creation and high performance.
The Xiaomi 17T with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will be available in Bangladesh from 11 June. It is priced at Tk 79,999 and comes in Violet, Opal White and Black colour’s.
Speaking at the launch event, Ziauddin Chowdhury, Country General Manager of Xiaomi Bangladesh, said the company remains committed to bringing premium smartphone innovations to local consumers.
