Two officers promoted to additional IGP

The government has promoted two senior officials of the BCS Police Cadre to the post of Additional Inspector General of Police (Additional IGP) in Grade-1 of the national pay scale.

The promotion order was issued on Thursday by the Police-1 Branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The order was signed by Deputy Secretary Toufique Ahmed on the direction of the President.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, the officers from the Highway Police and the Police Department have been elevated to the highest Grade-1 position under the National Pay Scale 2015.

The promoted officers are Delwar Hossain Mia, Additional IGP of Highway Police, and AKM Awlad Hossain, Additional IGP of the Police Department.

The notification states that the promoted officials must submit their joining letters to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs through the appropriate authority. The order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect from the date of joining.
