Kosovo’s Ambassador visits chattogram Port

H.E. Lulzim Pllana, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Dhaka, visited the Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) on Thursday.

Commodore Ahmed Amin Abdullah, Member (Harbor and Marine), CPA, welcomed the Ambassador and paid him a courtesy call.

During the meeting, fruitful discussions were held between the two sides on maritime cooperation, port development, logistics management, and the possibility of strengthening economic and trade relations between Bangladesh and the Balkan region.

In particular, importance was placed on future cooperation with Kosovo, the exchange of experiences, cargo handling, and enhancing regional connectivity through the use of Albanian seaports.

Both sides expressed their hope to work together in the future to develop the maritime sector, information technology, education, and port management through increased mutual cooperation.

After the courtesy call, a PowerPoint presentation was delivered in the CPA boardroom on the port’s overall activities, development projects, capacity building, and modernization initiatives.

Later, the Ambassador inspected the operational activities of the port and was briefed on its ongoing operations. He highly appreciated the port’s overall activities.

During the inspection, senior officials of the CPA, including the Director (Transport), Director (Security), Chief Hydrographer, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Personnel Officer, were present.
