‘Campus to Career Talk-2026’ seminar held at NBIU in Rajshahi
A seminar titled ‘Campus to Career Talk-2026’ was held at North Bengal International University (NBIU) in Rajshahi on Thursday.
The Department of Political Science and the Democracy Practice Centre jointly organised the event, with Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation, attending as chief guest.
During the programme, prizes and merit scholarships were distributed among students who excelled in quizzes and academic performance. NBIU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Sayedur Rahman welcomed the chief guest and presented him with a crest of honour.
Speaking at the seminar, Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said the government is working to implement electoral pledges and advance Bangladesh’s global standing.
He further said, “Rajshahi city has a strong reputation as a green city and clean city.
I want to transform Rajshahi city into an even greener, more beautiful, healthier, and ‘city of flowers’.
“Addressing the students, the RCC Administrator said, “In today’s competitive world, not only formal education but also skills, leadership qualities, and practical experience are equally important.
Young people must develop themselves into skilled human resources by acquiring up-to-date knowledge.”
The seminar was presided over by NBIU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Sayedur Rahman. Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Maksudur Rahman delivered the welcome address.
Special guest at the event was Professor Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Political Science at Rajshahi University.
The guest of honor was Professor Dr. Farhat Tasnim from the Department of Political Science, RU.
The concluding remarks were delivered by Afroza Akhter, Head of the Department of Political Science.
Also present at the event were NBIU Treasurer Professor Md. Ansar Uddin, along with university teachers and students, invited guests, and representatives from various departments.
