Experts emphasise export growth in Rajshahi
Experts at a seminar in Rajshahi have stressed the need to address existing challenges in export trade, improve documentation processes, and strengthen strategies for entering international markets to expand export opportunities.
The seminar, titled “How to Conduct Export Trade and Documentation,” was held on Thursday in the conference room of the Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner’s Office, where experts shared their views on the potential, problems and necessary actions in the export sector.
They said such initiatives are aimed at developing new exporters from the grassroots level and encouraging small and women entrepreneurs to take part in export activities.
Organised by the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau in cooperation with the divisional administration, the seminar was chaired by Bureau Vice President and Chief Executive Mohammad Hasan Arif.
Divisional Commissioner Dr. A. N. M. Bazlur Rashid attended the event as the chief guest.
The keynote paper was presented by Export Promotion Bureau Director A. M. Alamgir Hossain, while Mohammad Hasan Arif also spoke as the main discussant. Participants in the panel discussion included leaders from various chambers of commerce and industry, including Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, silk industry and women entrepreneurs’ associations.
Importers, exporters, small entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs and stakeholders from different districts of the Rajshahi division attended the seminar.
