Sabila Nur has completed a decade in her career. Alongside television dramas, she has confidently established her presence in OTT platforms and films. Through one project after another, she has proven that Sabila is not only popular but also essential.
After working in dramas, advertisements, web series, and web films, Sabila’s dream was to work in the biggest medium of entertainment—films—and to become a regular presence there. That unfulfilled desire came true when she made her debut in Dhallywood cinema opposite top star Shakib Khan in the film “Taandob.” She showcased her charisma in her very first film. The song “Lichur Bagan” from the movie is still widely remembered by audiences. Sabila emerged as a full-fledged commercial film heroine.
Sabila has now rediscovered herself as “Chitra” in the film “Bonolota Express.” According to her, “I have tried everything to become Chitra”—this single statement reflects the intensity of her journey and hard work. Released during the festive atmosphere of Eid-ul-Fitr, “Bonolota Express” is still drawing large audiences to cinemas. Houseful shows in multiplexes across the capital stand as proof of the film’s success. Sabila Nur is an important part of this journey.
“Bonolota Express” was not just a film but a gathering of many strong performers. While working on it, Sabila had numerous opportunities to learn. She especially mentioned the acting of Mosharraf Karim, whom she described as “brilliant.” Along with him, Shamima Nazneen, Sariful Razz, Chanchal Chowdhury, Shamol Mawla, Azmeri Haque Badhan, and Zakia Bari Mamo all brought their characters to life. For Sabila, this experience was like an acting workshop. Working with senior actors, she learned not only acting but also discipline, character depth, and how to fully immerse herself in a scene. She also stated that director Tanim Noor played a significant role in shaping her journey into Chitra, saying that he truly transformed her into the “real Chitra.”
Amid the success of “Bonalata Express,” Sabila Nur is currently shooting another film titled “Rockstar.” She is working again with top star Shakib Khan, with whom she made her film debut. After shooting in Malaysia, the film is now being filmed in Dhaka, where Sabila is actively participating. However, she remains somewhat mysterious about the project.
She said she has nothing to disclose at the moment and will remain silent until the production house makes an official announcement. As a result, very little is known about her character in “Rockstar.” Unlike her role in “Bonolota Express,” this character is completely different. In this film, she will be seen as the lover of a rockstar. The film is scheduled for release on the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha.
After the success of “Bonalata Express” during Eid-ul-Fitr as Chitra, fans are eagerly waiting to see how successful her journey in “Rockstar” will be. Additionally, she is expected to work in a web series titled “Gholam Mamun 2,” although the shooting schedule has not yet been finalized. For now, she is focused only on “Rockstar.”
