‘Quality edu possible by empowering teachers’

Journalist Mohammad Abdul Wadud has said that quality of education can be ensured by empowering and respecting teachers.

He made these remarks while delivering speech as the chief guest at a farewell ceremony of SSC examinees of Holy Rose School held at the Urbor Ananda Community Center in Dhanmondi on Thursday.

He called on the Education Minister to make the teaching profession attractive, so that the country’s talented people compete to become teachers and ensure quality education in the country.

The program was chaired by the head teacher of the institution, Nazma Begum, and the key speaker was M.A. Mannan Monir, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Kindergarten Board. Advocate Yeadia Zaman, a lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, was the special guest.

At the program, the school’s children enlivened the program with various cultural performances including educational acting, Islamic songs, poetry recitation, dance and fashion shows.
