1, 35,089 candidates to appear for SSC exam under Jashore Board
A total of 1,35,089 candidates from 2,572 educational institutions will appear in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under the Jashore Education Board (JEB), scheduled to be held at 299 centers across 10 districts.
The board has already completed all necessary preparations to conduct the examinations smoothly.
According to official sources, among the total candidates, 66,928 are male and 68,161 are female.
Of them, 1,09,266 are regular candidates, 25,678 are irregular candidates, and 145 are grade improvement candidates.
In terms of group-wise distribution, 39,426 students are from the Science group, 82,411 from Humanities, and 13,252 from Business Studies, reports BSS.
Exam Controller of Jashore Education Board Prof Dr Md Abdul Matin told BSS that all preparations for the SSC examinations have been completed.
He said CCTV cameras will be installed in every examination room at all centers this year to ensure transparency and prevent unfair means.
Alongside the board’s vigilance teams, local administration at City Corporation, district, and upazila levels will also monitor the examinations to ensure a peaceful, cheating-free environment. Question papers have already been distributed to the offices of the concerned deputy commissioners.
Prof Dr Matin said Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon gave necessary instructions in a meeting with centre secretaries ahead of the exams.
Following those directives, the board is prepared to conduct the SSC examinations in a fair and cheating-free manner with strict monitoring, including CCTV coverage in every room, he said.
He also urged students to remain focused on their studies, noting that the examinations will begin on April 21 and time is very limited.
