Stronger BD-Thai pharma links

The Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, Her Excellency Thitiporn Chirasawad, called on the senior leadership of Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd at its head office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, to discuss expanding trade and investment opportunities between Bangladesh and Thailand.

Discussions centred on strengthening bilateral trade and investment in the pharmaceutical sector, with both parties underscoring opportunities for collaboration and growth, reports media.

The Incepta delegation was led by Chairman and Managing Director Abdul Muktadir, alongside Executive Directors Dr EH Arefin Ahmed, Naimul Huda, Ehsan Aziz, and Senior Manager Md Arifur Rahman.

Abdul Muktadir presented Incepta’s manufacturing capabilities, global reach, and technological strengths, noting the company’s history of exporting pharmaceuticals to Thailand.

He emphasised the need for deeper collaboration in technology transfer, trade expansion, and potential joint manufacturing initiatives with Thai partners.

Ambassador Chirasawad commended Incepta’s progress and expressed interest in facilitating greater collaboration between Bangladeshi and Thai pharmaceutical stakeholders.

She highlighted the potential for increased trade, investment, and knowledge exchange to benefit both countries.

The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to advancing bilateral engagement in the pharmaceutical sector, reinforcing the growing economic partnership between Bangladesh and Thailand.
