Sony opens first authorised camera service center in Dhaka

Global technology brand Sony has opened an authorised camera service (ACS) centre alongside a dedicated showroom at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in Dhaka.

Located on Level 1, Block B, at shops 20 and 30, the facility brings camera retail and authorised servicing under one roof for professional and amateur photographers and videographers, according to the press release.

Bashundhara City Development Limited Senior General Manager Major Shaikh Muhammad Mizanur Rahman (retd) and Sony Corporation Imaging Marketing Division Deputy General Manager Koji Sekiguchi inaugurated the facility in the presence of FSI General Manager Chang Zong and Sony Regional Marketing (Singapore) Head of Marketing Yap Yung.

The service centre and showroom will operate from 11am to 8pm every day except Tuesday.

Sony said the facility is designed to provide local repair and after-sales support, reducing equipment downtime for photographers and videographers.

The company plans to work with leading wedding photography studios in Bangladesh as part of its efforts to expand support for professional users.

Sony also encouraged customers to purchase genuine products from authorised dealers carrying an official 18-month warranty sticker to ensure access to authorised technical services.

The facility will provide support for Sony Alpha camera systems and G Master lens products.
