Narsingdi district press club gets new president, gen secy

Narsingdi District Press Club forms a new executive committee.M.A. Awal, district correspondent of The New Nation, has been made as President, and A.H. Bhuiya Sajal, district correspondent of SA TV, as General Secretary.

The Annual General Meeting 2026 was held on Sunday at the club’s temporary office located at Narsingdi Sadar Upazila intersection. The meeting was presided over by the club’s senior member and publisher and editor of the weekly Ajker Chetana, ABM Azraf Tipu.

At the meeting, the current committee of the Narsingdi District Press Club was officially dissolved. Later, based on the opinions of 84 attending members, a 21-member executive committee for a two-year term (2026-2028) was formed.

In addition to the President and General Secretary, the other officials of the committee are senior Vice President Md. Shafiqul Islam Mati (district correspondent of Global TV),Vice President Md. Rafiqul Islam (district correspondent of Ananda TV),Vice President Ashikur Rahman (Daily Bangla Bazar).
