Mustafiz shines despite Lahore lose to Karachi in PSL

Lahore Qalandars lost to Karachi Kings by 4 wickets in the second match of the day in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Sunday. However, Mustafizur Rahman once again shone with the ball.

The Tigers’ ‘Cutter Master’ took one wicket for just 20 runs. Lahore won the toss and elected to bat first at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The opening partnership of the two openers came to just 3 runs. Fakhar Zaman departed for 1 run off 2 balls. Mohammad Naeem, who survived, scored 13 runs off 12 balls.

Abdullah Shafiq took charge of the team after dropping to three. Shafiq played an effective innings of 33 runs off 24 balls.

Shafiq stopped at the head of the team’s 56 runs. Emon departed in the next over. Parvez Hossain Emon scored 12 runs off 12 balls.

The rest of them more or less faded. Hasibullah Khan scored 28 runs off 30 balls. Besides, Sikandar Raza scored 19 runs off 21 balls.

The five batters at the tail could not touch double figures. Lahore Qalandars scored 128 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Mustafizur Rahman, who came out to bat at the very end, remained unbeaten on 1 run off 1 ball.

Moeen Ali, Mir Hamza and Adam Zampa took 2 wickets each for Karachi Kings. Hasan Ali, Salman Agha and Abbas Afridi took 1 wicket each.
