Singapore have already qualified for the final round of AFC Asian Cup. Singapore gained 11 points from five matches, while Bangladesh bagged five points from as many outings.
According to the latest FIFA rankings, Bangladesh have taken the 181st position, while Singapore have taken the 148th spot.
Earlier, Bangladesh lost to Singapore by 1-2 goals in their home Group-C match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers at the National Stadium in Dhaka on June 10, 2025.
If we see the Head-to-Head comparison between Bangladesh and Singapore we find Bangladesh faced Singapore three times. Of them, Singapore won all the matches.
But Bangladesh are now strong team as Bangladesh have Hamza Choudhury and Shamit Shome in their squad. Hamza Choudhury is an England-born Bangladeshi.
Hamza Choudhury has played in the Leicester City Football Club, which have played in the English Premier League.
Shamit Shome is a Canada-born Bangladeshi. He has played in the Canadian Premier League.
Bangladesh Football team’s regular footballers Topu Barman and Rakib Hossain could not take part in today’s match due to injury.
Regarding the absence of the team’s two experienced stars, Topu Barman and Rakib Hossain, Shamit said in a video message on Sunday, “We miss Topu and Rakib.
However, if someone is absent due to injury or other reasons in football, others have to take that responsibility.
Today Hamza Choudhury and I are here, tomorrow we may also be injured and out of the field.”
