Pantha Kanai’s ‘Abar Chumki’ released, model Basar & Parsa

One of the most popular songs sung by Khurshid Alam is ‘Chumki Cholechhe Eka Pothe’.

The artiste sang the song in the movie ‘Dost Dushman’.

Later, when the song was remade by Pantha Kanai, it also became popular.

Now Pantha Kanai has come up with a new version of the song. It has been titled ‘Abar Chumki’.

The new song was released on the YouTube channel of audio production  company Gaanchil Music on Eid.

Again, the lyrics of the song ‘Chumki’ were jointly written by Irfan Tushi, Arif Hossain and Sajin Salman. The music was directed by Vivek.

The music video was directed by Tanim Rahman Angshu. Khairul Basar and Parsa Evana performed as models in the song.

This is the first time Basar and Parsa have been paired on screen. Pantha Kanai is also seen in the video.

The video was made in the atmosphere of the 70s, where the director has tried to evoke the nostalgia of old Bengali cinema.

About this new song, Pantha Kanai said, “‘Chumki Cholechhe Eka Pothe’ sung by Khurshid Alam is a timeless creation.

After remaking that song, I received a great response. This time, Chumki has been created again after a long time of hard work.

I hope that the song is bringing joy to the listeners and viewers and make the atmosphere of Eid festive even more lively.”

Video producer Tanim Rahman Angshu said, “This is not a story-based video, but rather a joyful, fun-loving song.

The video has been newly created keeping in mind the tradition of the song ‘Chumki Cholechhe Eka Pothe’.

We have tried to capture the atmosphere of that time in everything from the set, costumes and performance.”

Khairul Basar said, “‘Chumki Cholechhe Eka Pothe’ is quite popular among our generation. Again, working on the song ‘Chumki’ is a different experience.

This is my first work with Angshu Bhai. The song has a great mood of fun and celebration.”
