Mercantile Bank hosts foreign trade operations workshop

Mercantile Bank Training Institute organised a workshop on “Centralised Foreign Trade Operations” at MBL Centre to strengthen capacity among officials of the Centralised Trade Processing Centre (CTPC), the bank said.

Mati Ul Hasan, managing director of Mercantile Bank, attended as chief guest. Shamim Ahmed, deputy managing director and CAMLCO, and Md Abdul Halim, SEVP and COO, attended as special guests. S M Salim Uddin, head of training and development, chaired the programme.

Guest speakers included Md Khairul Alam Chowdhury, SEVP and head of business operations division at UCB, and A T M Nesarul Hoque, EVP and head of MTB financial institution services at Mutual Trust Bank PLC.
