Bangladesh, India, Pakistan in same group

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Tuesday the schedule of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup (WC).

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be held at the different venues of England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.

The ‘Super Eight’ phase of the ICC T20 World Cup is rolling on India and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh did not play in the ICC T20 World Cup.

Earlier, Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team qualify for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team won all the seven matches of the Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

The cricket lovers of the country want to see the consistent performance from Tigresses.

A total of 12 teams splitting into two groups will take part in the first phase of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Bangladesh, Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa and Netherlands have been billed in Group-A.

Australia are the six times champions of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. West Indies, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland have been placed in Group-B.

The top two teams from each group will play in the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be held at the Oval on June 30, while the second semi-final will be held on July 2 at the same venue.

The winning teams of the two semi-finals will face each other in the final at the Lords on July 5.

It may be mentioned that Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands have taken place in the final phase after playing in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers.

England will take on Sri Lanka in the inaugural match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at Edgbaston on June 12.

Bangladesh will take on Netherlands in their first Group-A match at Edgbaston on June 14, the Tigresses will face Australia in their second Group-A match at Headigley on June 17, Bangladesh will play against Pakistan in their third Group-A match at Hampshire on June 20, Bangladesh will face India their fourth Group-A match at Old Trafford on June 25, the Tigresses will meet South Africa at the Lords on June 28.
