Training on election journalism held

A two-day training on election journalism among the journalists of both Kurigram and Lalmonirhar district was held in Kurigram Zila Parishad conference room on Saturday, organized by Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) under Information and Broadcast Ministry.

Assistant Professor and joint convener of Kurigram district unit of BNP and also senior journalist of NTV Hasibur Rahman Hasib was present as the chief guest who inaugurated the training program while secretary (acting) of Kurigram Press club Khandoker Mahfuzar Rahman Tutor was presided.

Shah Alam Saikat, Instructor and senior journalist from Dhaka Ziaur Rahman conducted the training course. A total of 50 journalists of both Kurigram and Lalmonirhat district were participated in the training program.

The teachers taught about the rules of vote and voting centers, political, national and local government elections, how to collect report during the election period, digital affairs and they also gave valuable advices about the upcoming national election.
