‘Abar Hothat Brishti’ to hit cinemas in Oct

The 1998 classic ‘Hothat Brishti’ is returning to the big screen in a new
version, titled ‘Abar Hothat Brishti’, with newcomers Arian Sarowar and Radifa Narmin in the lead roles.

Directed by Kamruzzaman, the remake is scheduled to be released in cinemas across Bangladesh on October 2, according to the filmmaker.

The film has already received clearance from the Bangladesh Film Certification Board.

The original ‘Hothat Brishti’, directed by Indian filmmaker Basu Chatterjee, first reached Bangladeshi audiences through a World Television Premiere on Channel i during Eid-ul-Azha in 1998.

It was subsequently released in cinemas and became a major success.

The Bangladesh-India joint production starred Ferdous Ahmed and Priyanka Trivedi in lead roles.
