Dhaka road crash: Two motorcyclists killed in Shanir Akhra

Two motorcyclists were killed when a truck hit their motorcycle at Shanir Akhra area under the Dhaka South City Corporation early Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Khairul Hossain, 22, a second-year student of Bhashantek Government College and son of Harun Mia of Kishoreganj district and Mohammad Yeasin, 27, son of Foyez Uddin of Laxmipur district.
Both of them used to live in the Bhashantek area of the capital.

The accident occurred around 11:00pm when the truck hit the motorcycle carrying them as they were returning to Dhaka from Noakhali after attending a wedding ceremony, leaving them critically injured, said Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police camp.

Later, they were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared them dead around 12:30am.
On information, police seized the truck but could not arrest anyone.
