EWU welcomes new students

East West University (EWU) held an orientation programme for newly admitted students of the Spring Semester of the year at the Manzur Elahi Auditorium on Thursday, at its campus in Aftabnagar, Dhaka.
This event was designed to help freshers integrate into the university’s academic culture, understand its code of conduct, rules and regulations, and learn about available facilities.
The programme was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank, and Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU.
The Deans of the faculties also addressed the new students, says a press release.
During their speeches, they emphasised the university’s commitment to nurturing skilled and ethical leaders and encouraged the freshers to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress during their time at East West University.
They also advised the newly admitted students to focus on becoming skilled human resources.
Notable attendees included Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU, and Air Commodore (retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer of EWU.
To add excitement to the day, the Department of Student Welfare organized a vibrant Club Fair, showcasing 23 student-run clubs.
Each club set up stalls to display their activities and initiatives, encouraging the freshers to get involved in co-curricular activities alongside their academic pursuits.
