MHTC, Prime Bank, Irving Aviation partner

Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) CEO Dato' Suriagandhi Suppiah, Irving Aviation Limited Head of Business Development Tajria Rahman Rishta, and Prime Bank PLC Additional Managing Director M Nazeem A Choudhury display the signed documents following a tripartite cooperation agreement ceremony held recently at Crowne Plaza in Dhaka to ease medical travel to Malaysia for Bangladeshi citizens.

Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC), Prime Bank PLC and Irving Aviation Limited have entered into a tripartite cooperation framework aimed at making access to medical treatment in Malaysia more seamless and convenient for Bangladeshi citizens.

The cooperation agreement was signed On Tuesday at an event held at Crowne Plaza in Dhaka, bringing together healthcare, travel and financial services to support Bangladeshi medical travellers throughout their healthcare journey, according to the press release.

The collaboration aims to simplify the patient journey, from obtaining information on suitable hospitals and medical services to travel arrangements, visa assistance and payment of medical expenses.

MHTC Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Suriagandhi Suppiah said the partnership brings together the strengths of the three organisations to provide a more coordinated and convenient healthcare travel experience for Bangladeshi patients.

“We are pleased to work with Prime Bank and Irving Aviation to make the healthcare travel journey from Bangladesh to Malaysia more accessible, coordinated and convenient,” he said.

Under the collaboration, MHTC will facilitate connections with leading Malaysian hospitals and healthcare institutions while supporting access to relevant healthcare information and treatment pathways.

Irving Aviation Limited Head of Business Development Tajria Rahman Rishta said the partnership would strengthen local support for Bangladeshi medical travellers.

“As MHTC’s local partner in Bangladesh, Irving Aviation is pleased to support medical travellers with travel coordination, visa assistance, air ticketing and initial medical-service enquiries, helping to make their journey to Malaysia more convenient,” she said.

Prime Bank PLC Additional Managing Director M Nazeem A Choudhury said the collaboration would provide greater convenience for customers managing healthcare-related payments overseas.

“Prime Bank is pleased to be part of this collaboration and to explore suitable payment solutions that can provide greater convenience to customers seeking medical treatment in Malaysia,” he said.

Prime Bank will facilitate healthcare-related financial transactions and explore card-based payment facilities and, where applicable, exclusive benefits or discounts, subject to the bank’s applicable terms and conditions.

The signing was witnessed by Malaysian High Commission Chargé d’Affaires Hazwan Hasnol, who attended as the chief guest, alongside representatives from MHTC, Prime Bank, Irving Group and other stakeholders.

The tripartite cooperation marks a step towards strengthening healthcare links between Malaysia and Bangladesh and creating a more coordinated and seamless experience for Bangladeshi patients seeking medical services in Malaysia.
