RFL Partners with Japanese company Glafit

Business Desk :

Rangpur Metal Industries Limited, a Sister Concern of country’s leading business conglomerate RFL, and Japanese technology-based startup Glafit Bangladesh Ltd will work together to setup charging stations for electric vehicles in different parts of the country.

The agreement signing ceremony took place at RFL Group’s head office in Badda the capital on Thursday.
RN Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group and Tomoaki Furuoka, Managing Director of Glafit Bangladesh Ltd signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the event.

RN Paul said, “the use of environmentally friendly vehicles, including scooters, is gradually increasing among the young generation in the country. RFL Group has recently introduced electric scooters under the ‘RYDO’ brand in the local market. However, the fast-charging system for various electric vehicles, including electric scooters, is now the biggest obstacle in this sector.

Therefore, we will start working on setting up charging stations and battery swapping stations at various places across the country, where Japanese company Glafit will provide technical support.”
