‘Indian Idol’ winner Prashant Tamang dies

Singer and actor Prashant Tamang, winner of India’s popular reality show ‘Indian Idol’
season 3, has passed away. He was only 43 years old.

According to a report by the Times of India, he breathed his last at a hospital in Delhi on Sunday morning. The artiste suddenly suffered a brain stroke last night.

He was rushed to the hospital, but despite all the efforts of doctors, he left the country around 9 am on Sunday, never to return.

His sudden death has cast a shadow of grief over the music scene in Darjeeling and India.
